Composite veneering on dental restorations is still a particular challenge. For a long time, digital veneering was just a pipe dream for us, as suitable materials for the CAD/CAM technique were not available. In a roundabout way, we managed to mill veneers for telescopic work from wax or print them with resin and then transfer them into high-quality composite using a special flask technique. Two years ago, I came across the Grandio disc multicolor from VOCO, which was a real game changer for me and many other laboratories in the field of composite veneering. Suddenly it was possible to mill our previously designed anatomy directly from high-quality multilayer composite, from 98 mm discs with a glass content of over 80 %, and apply it to the framework. Regardless of whether as a single veneer or an “anatomical dental arch”. The specially developed milling path strategy with the “Diamond Finish” ensures amazing surfaces and a perfect fit. In this presentation followed by a panel discussion, you will learn how easy it can be today to veneer frameworks efficiently and at the same time to the highest quality. Using various case studies, I will present the entire process - from the scan to the design to the final result - in a practical way.
