SHOFU DISK ZR Lucent Supra – The multilayer zirconia now available in 25 and 30 mm heights

SHOFU DISK ZR Lucent Supra combines high-strength zirconia varieties in a powerful multilayer CAD/CAM material. Translucency increases from the cervical to the enamel zone, while an outstanding flexural strength of more than 1,000 MPa in all zones makes it a premium solution for every clinical situation – whether monolithic, partially veneered or fully veneered.

The layers consist of different zirconia varieties, each with its own strength and translucency values. The enamel layer has a flexural strength of 1,034 MPa and a translucency of 44%. The dentin layer offers a flexural strength of 1,163 MPa with a translucency of 40%, while the cervical layer features the highest flexural strength at 1,454 MPa and a translucency of 37%. 

SHOFU DISK ZR Lucent Supra, with a diameter of 98 mm, is suitable for all common CAD/CAM systems. Its wide range of indications covers everything from single crowns to 14-unit bridges with two connected pontics. Thanks to its high light reflection in the cervical area, this high-performance zirconia offers a lifelike appearance – especially in cases requiring enhanced masking, such as discoloured stumps or implants.

Now available in 25 and 30 mm heights
Two additional heights, 25 and 30 mm, make SHOFU DISK ZR Lucent Supra the zirconia of choice for very large works, such as circular, implant-supported rehabilitations – all-on-4 or all-on-6 – with gingival areas. Increased heights facilitate the nesting of large-span restorations inside the disk and substantially improve stability where it is needed.

Seven new shades now complete the shade range from A1 to D4; bleach shades have also been added.

Monolithic restorations made of SHOFU DISK ZR Lucent Supra can be colour-customised and sealed with VINTAGE Art Universal Stains and Glazes as desired. If a reduced framework needs to be aesthetically perfected, the anatomical shape can be completed with VINTAGE ZR dentin and enamel materials (micro-layering).
