The working ends of the anatomical micro tweezers feature a durable carbide plate (fine cross grooves) or a diamond coating. They are suitable for gentle gripping of more vulnerable structures such as blood vessels or nerves. The characteristic of being gentle on tissue does, however, have the disadvantage that the structures that have been gripped can slip from the forceps. That is why strong tensile force is not possible, in contrast to the surgical forceps.
