Master of Science Programmes

The International Medical College® (IMC) of the University of Duisburg-Essen is an established university institution for postgraduate master programmes and further and continuing education in the field of oral medicine with the aim of providing professional expertise through academic and practice-related courses, which are conducted as a blended learning concept. Dentists from Germany and abroad can acquire additional qualifications here.
The following master programmes with the academic degree "Master of Science (M.Sc.)" are offered:

· Implantology and Dental Surgery
· Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry
· Periodontology
· Specialized Orthodontics
· Advanced General Dental Practice

The focus of these university further education courses is on providing the latest knowledge and the professional exchange of participants in their special fields. This is made possible through cooperation with universities, international educational institutions, cooperating practices and the development of specially adapted curricula and integrated programmes.

The IMC Master programmes have been successfully accredited by the Accreditation Council of the Federal Republic of Germany in accordance with the Bologna Consensus Conference. The academic degree is awarded jointly by the University of Duisburg-Essen and the IMC.

· The Master programmes are conducted as a blended learning concept
· Start of studies either in April (3 semesters) or October (4 semesters)
· Various intensive practical and clinical training blocks
· All Master programmes in English and German
· Accreditation: 60 or 90 ECTS credits
· Attendance seminars, lectures, online-live-lectures as well as practical and clinical training blocks
· Award of the academic degree "Master of Science" by the Dean of the Medical Faculty of the University of Duisburg-Essen and the Scientific Director of the IMC
· Academic graduation ceremony with awarding of certificates
