OccluSense

"OccluSense®", the award-winning system combines the traditional and digital registration of the pressure distribution of the occlusal surfaces.
The OccluSense device with its 60µm thin disposable pressure sensor with red colour coating is used in the same way as traditional articulating film.

The OccluSense® handheld is a battery powered device which uses your local wireless network to transmit the recorded data to the OccluSense®-iPad-App.
The technologically advanced OccluSense® pressure sensors allow the recording of the masticatory forces in 256 pressure levels. The thin and flexible material permits the recording of both the static and dynamic occlusion.
Additionally, the red color coating marks the occlusal contacts on the patient's teeth.

Especially when it comes to prosthetic restorations with implants, problems can occur as an unbalanced masticatory pressure can cause complications, especially with bruxism.
Therefore, checking the masticatory pressure distribution is essential to ensure that it is balanced over the entire dental arch thus the superstructure and bone are protected.

The occlusal masticatory pressure distribution of the patient is recorded data can be viewed and stored in the patient management system of the OccluSense® iPad App, which can be reviewed or exported at any time.
These data can then be viewed as 2-and 3-dimensional graphics with up to 150 images per second. The traditional color transfer on the occlusal surfaces of the patient facilitates the assignment of the recorded data.
