Extraction Forceps, Elevator, Proximators, Luxators, Periotome, Heidbrink. | Exhibitor on the IDS - International Dental Show 2023

Extraction Forceps, Elevator, Proximators, Luxators, Periotome, Heidbrink.

Extraction Forceps.
The function of extraction forceps in veterinary dentistry is primarily to remove the root once it has been luxated loose.
In human dentistry, forceps blades are forced apically to push the root out of the alveolus.

Elevator.
In dentistry, elevator instruments are used to luxate teeth, and this technique imparts forces to tooth particles that sever the periodontal ligament around tooth roots inside the socket and expand alveolar the bone around tooth particles.

Proximators.
The Proximator is used for severing the ligaments in the periodontal space, primarily for severing the periodontal fibers and creating lateral expansion of the alveolus.

Luxators.
The luxators is a sharp instrument with a less concave blade than an elevator.

Periotome.
The periotome is used to sever the periodontal ligament (PDL) from the root surface of the tooth.

Heidbrink.
Used as a lever during the extraction of a tooth or retained roots. It is pushed in between the gums and the tooth exterior and used to loosen the tissue surrounding the tooth.
