MTA Bio-C Temp – Ready to Use
MTA Bio-C Temp is a highly biocompatible, bioactive, and resorbable MTA-based root canal filling material for direct application. It is ideal for primary tooth root canal fillings and all medicinal intracanal dressings.
Bactericidal, highly alkaline (pH 12.5), antibacterial, and radiopaque (9 mm aluminum scale according to ISO 6876).
Easily removable with standard NaOCl and EDTA irrigation.
Shrinkage-free. Reversible.
Key Benefits:
- Excellent handling (optimized clinical workflow)
- Calcium ion (Ca²⁺) release (hydroxyapatite integrates with dentin)
- Antibacterial (inhibits bacterial growth)
- Biocompatible
- Promotes pulp regeneration
- Integrates with dentin via newly formed hydroxyapatite
- Effective in moist environments without loss of properties
- Hydrophilic: absorbs moisture
Available in a ready-to-use 0.5g direct application syringe, including 5 gray endo application tips.
Indications (MTA Cements)
- Treatment of iatrogenic or caries-induced perforations (root canal, periodontium, furcation, pulp)
- Direct and indirect pulp capping (MTA PulpCap; Pulprotec MTA)
- Pulpotomy (coverage/sealing of the remaining vital pulp stump)
- Apical closure of the root canal (even in the presence of bleeding or exudate)
- Root-end obturation (WSR obturation)
- Treatment of internal/external resorptions
- Apical obturation material for complex canals, large pulp cavities, or retreatments
- Apexogenesis (promoting root growth completion in vital permanent teeth with inflamed coronal pulp)
- Apexification (inducing the formation of an apical hard tissue barrier in immature permanent teeth with necrotic pulp)
