Powerbone Bone Scraper – Bone Scraper for Harvesting Autologous Bone

The Powerbone Bone Scraper is a single-use instrument made of polycarbonate (PC) designed for the extraction of autologous bone material (cortical or cancellous) for use in guided bone regeneration (GBR) procedures.

The bone scraper has a blade made of medical-grade stainless steel. It is used to scrape autologous bone fragments from the chin or ramus area, which are collected in the integrated collection container. During use, the round stainless steel blade can be rotated with a 1.2 mm hex screwdriver, if necessary, to use the unused portion of the blade.

The collected bone fragments, due to their curved shape, have a large volume, which significantly reduces the required amount of augmentation material and minimizes the invasiveness of the procedure.

In this manual bone harvesting procedure, the bone material is directly mixed with the patient's blood, preserving cellular components like osteocytes for optimal bone regeneration.
